Original Mark II kitchen

Our original Mark II Beachcomber featured a state-of-the-art 1963 kitchen. Wall oven. Separate cooktop. Mixer tap. Unfortunately the original masonite shelves had swelled and warped, and we needed more storage. We were sad to lose the cupboard door handles (which we still have on the bedroom built-ins), which we later discovered were designed by Nino Sydney.

Our replacement kitchen removed the sliding door and opened up the space to the lounge room (as was designed into the Mark III). We also played with the colour. And lived happily ever after.
